Day 9 - EMBRACING GOD’s LIGHT AND PEACE

God gives light and peace to the world through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, fundamentally

transforming our lives. This reality should lead us to live lives of gratitude, devotion, and active

testimony of God's grace. 

 Psalm 29 encourages us and the whole universe to pay tribute to God – an act of gratitude,

respect, and admiration. The psalmist celebrates God's power over all creation, exalting His

name and mighty voice. David's heart was excited, knowing that God was his strength and

shield, present in every battle and situation. 

 Similarly, Solomon expressed immense gratitude to God for the blessings he inherited from his

father, King David. Solomon asked for wisdom during this joy, acknowledging his dependence

on God. 

 A modern example is Sergei, a man from Tajikistan – a country where following Jesus is illegal -

who transformed from a criminal to a devoted Christian after another man prayed for him for

three years. Sergei's newfound faith led him to be a light in prison. He led Bible studies and

planted a church in a radical Islamic town. His life of devotion, spending hours in prayer and

studying scripture, is a powerful testimony of God’s light and peace. 

 Tragically, Sergei's dedication cost him his life, but his legacy continues through his family, who

relentlessly pursue the Lord in their country. His story challenges us to reflect on our own lives.

Are we, in our freedom, paying tribute to God for His Love and mercy? Have we shown

gratitude for Christ's sufferings? 

A life filled with freedom, comfort, and the liberty to have an open relationship with God is a

great blessing. I invite you to embrace a true Christian life by cultivating the fruits of the Holy

Spirit. Wear the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness each day. Live in harmonious

love, share your joy, and preach about our peace to those who need to know who the true

Savior is.

Heavenly Father, give me a longing to be in Your presence, to learn from You, and to be shaped

by You. May my devotion be as strong as Sergei's, spending hours expressing gratitude,

respect, admiration, and love for You. Grant me wisdom and the ability to be light and salt

everywhere I go, helping others come to know You and find salvation. In Jesus' name, amen.
