Day 14 - HOW DO WE KNOW IF WE TRULY KNOW GOD?

How Do We Know if We Truly Know God? The Bible answers this question: by keeping His

commandments. In our society today, many people believe that being a "good person" is

enough. They might say, I don’t murder, I don’t commit adultery, I don’t steal. But is that

enough for salvation?

In the book What’s So Amazing About Grace? Phillip Yancey explores how many people are

hesitant to be around Christians. While Christians have received grace, they often struggle to

share it, or perhaps they’ve forgotten that the same grace is available to the entire world.

Intellectuals and critics openly express frustration, accusing Christians of being selfish, rude,

and lacking compassion. This raises a critical question: have Christians forgotten the second

greatest commandment—to love your neighbor as yourself? Or do they not know God?

Yancey parallels today’s Christians and the Samaritans during Jesus’ time. The Jews, despite

their close relationship with the Samaritans, viewed them as heretics, which led to feelings of

resentment. Similarly, many people today feel alienated from Christians.

Solomon built a temple for God, but can God be contained in a building? In Haggai 2:9, the

prophet declares,The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former

house... and in this place I will grant peace.Scholars believe this refers to the temple where

Jesus, the Prince of Peace, will dwell—within the hearts of those who accept Him as Savior and

live with Him as Lord. Are we demonstrating that Jesus is the King of our hearts?

Jesus came to this world to teach us how to be light and peace. Are we, as Christians, living in

that way? Like a lamp on a stand, illuminating a room, or like a city on a hill, proclaiming the

name of Jesus, who is power, life, healing, and freedom.

It’s possible for men to live without God? Many people in our society are lost, we as a church

know that. But the question is, are we as a Christians in the right place to offer to them the

orientation that they need? Are we living according to our beliefs? or do we have a lack of

morality? or are we copying the behavior and the customs of the world?

We should communicate our faith to the world as good news that will help the world to find a

solution for all difficult issues it is living now. Remembering constantly that we are the

beneficiaries of the love of Jesus who was born from a woman, so that we can born of God; He

humbled Himself, so that we could be lifted up; He became a servant so that we could made co-

heirs; He suffered rejection, so that we could became His friends; He denied Himself, so that we

could freely receive all things 1 .

Pray with Me: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Son, Jesus. His sacrifice has given us

grace, life, peace, and countless blessings. Lord, I ask You, again, Search me, O God, and

know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts See if there is any offensive way in me

and lead me in the way everlasting 2 .Help me to be light and peace. Teach me how to share

Your grace with those who don’t know You yet. Holy Spirit, guide me in being a testimony to

everyone around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
